Simplifying the complicated budget section

Jay Scott Readey, Illinois ResourceNet technical assistance provider, will explain the importance of managing your organization's finances to improve your success in applying for a federal grant.

Highlights from the federal budget process workshop include: 

  •  The differences between indirect and direct cost rates
  • Allowable expenditures
  • Matching and cost sharing and accounting compliance requirements.

In addition, this session describes the principles used in developing a budget narrative.

The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9th at the Great Cities Institute located at 412 S. Peoria Street, Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60607.
